It’s a lesson we learn from the time we can stand at the sink and hold the toothbrush in our hands. Brush your teeth daily to prevent cavities. Well now that knowledge is being passed on to sea lions and seals.
At a zoo located in the US, the zoo keepers/trainers have been pulling out toothbrushes 3 times during the weeks at feeding times for the animals and brushing their teeth. According to Rita Stacey at the Brookfield Zoo, the animals seem to be enjoying it. They like the attention they are getting from the trainer. Now it’s not only people that have to brush their teeth, the seals and sea lions get theirs brushed too.
